"I’ve been a huge Charli XCX fan for years and have always wanted to do a cover. This was my favorite track off her most recent record -- it’s a beautiful song about staying present when faced with death, destruction and the end of the world. The original has super lush and buoyant production. I wanted to take a stab at a version that felt a little more minimalist all while referencing bits and pieces of the original production and keeping the tone uplifting and hopeful."
